From Community Conversations to the Stage: How “Sketches of Minnesota” Brings Stories to Life

Over the past year, we’ve traveled to ten different cities across Minnesota, meeting with residents, sharing meals, and gathering personal stories about what makes their communities special. From the small-town charm of Little Falls to the northern resilience of International Falls, each stop offered something unique. We listened as people opened up about their experiences—their joys, their challenges, and their hopes for the future. Then, using improv and humor, we turned those stories into live performances, creating an evening of laughter and connection for all who attended.

Now, we’re bringing all of those incredible experiences together in one scripted theatrical performance. Sketches of Minnesota: A Civic Community Comedy Tour takes the best moments from our statewide journey and presents them on stage in a show that is equal parts comedy, storytelling, and heartfelt reflection. Written by Heather Meyer and directed by Mike Fotis, this production weaves together voices from across Minnesota, brought to life by the talented cast of Danger Boat Productions. Whether you joined us on the road or are experiencing this for the first time, this show is your chance to see how humor and storytelling can bridge divides and bring people closer together.

Now is your chance to be part of the next chapter! Join us in St. Cloud and Minneapolis for this one-of-a-kind theatrical event. See the stories of your fellow Minnesotans brought to life, laugh with friends and neighbors, and celebrate the power of community. Tickets are on sale now—don’t miss out!
