Danger Boat Productions Awarded TPT Grant to Share Minnesota’s Stories Through Improv Comedy
We are honored to share that the Sketches of Minnesota Project by Danger Boat Productions and the Minnesota Humanities Center has been selected as a grant recipient for Twin Cities PBS's "The 250th Project: Sharing Minnesota’s Stories." This initiative aims to amplify local voices and narratives in anticipation of the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence. Our project will utilize improv comedy to engage communities in meaningful conversations, continuing our mission to explore big ideas and bridge divides through humor. Stay tuned for updates as we embark on this exciting journey to highlight Minnesota's rich cultural tapestry.
Sketches of Minnesota
Sketches of Minnesota traveled to communities across the state to produce a unique event that brought residents together for meaningful conversation about their towns and reflected their thoughts and feelings back to them through improv comedy.
While the shows were comedic, Sketches of Minnesota never punches down. The aim was to foster understanding within and across communities, celebrate the state’s diversity, and showcase what residents cherish most about their corner of Minnesota.
